Queen Visits Perth City Centre today, Friday 6th Jul 2012 as part of her last day of Jubilee celebrations, rejoicing her 60 years on the throne. During the Queen’s visit toPerthCity centre she will be given the keys to the ‘FairCity’ and also visit theBlackWatchRegimentalMuseum. The reason for this is that because the Queen Mother was colonel-in-chief of the Black Watch, which is known as the best Scottish regiment for 65 years.
Next on the Queen visit to Perth City Centre she will travel to Scone Palace where it is known that the Scottish Kings of old were crowned; the Queen’s visit here will end with a lunch. The Queen’s visit to Perth City Centre is a Royal tradition and has been well timed with the Royal Jubilee Celebrations. After lunch the Queen will then plant a tree and there will be a Royal procession.
