Crieff Highland Games

Crieff Highland Games

Crieff Highland Games will be held on Sunday 19th August 2012. We here at Next Home Estate Agents, number one for property sales in Perthshire, highly recommend attending this years Crieff Highland Games. This year’s main sponsor is O2 and the event starts at 10.30am. There will be a mix of local heavyweight events, solo piping and highland dancing, traditional field events and modern day athletics and cycling in the centre arena.

Spaced around the park at the Crieff Highland Games are highland dancing, pipe band and bagpipe competitions, trade stands and fun fair. There is something for everyone to enjoy and we at Next Home are very much looking forward to it.

Returning to the show by popular demand are the Bolddog Lings Freestyle Team who will be providing a unique, non stop show, using Britain’s best motocross and extreme sports participants, introducing the articulated mobile freestyle ramp.

At this years Crieff Highland Games the show will feature a wide selection of freestyle motocross tricks such as “superman seat grab”, “Indian air”, “heel-clicker”, “rock solid”, “double-nac”, “switch blade”, “kiss of death”, “lazyboy” and many more. Many of these moves will result in the rider exiting their seat, taking their hands off the handelbars and rotating their body around the bike. Something we are very much looking forward to seeing and we’re sure you are too.

The Crieff Highland Games stems from 1820 as part of the revival of Tartan & highland Culture. In 1948 Queen Victoria attended the Braemar Highland Games which were very much the same as the ones in Scotland today.

This is not an event to be missed and one everyone here at Next Home is very excited!
