Auchterarder provides an abundance of local amenities which include shops, banks, primary and secondary schools, restaurants, health centre and post office and offers an ideal location for commuting to Perth, Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow via the nearby A9 and also to the local train station. Gleneagles Hotel which is hosting the 2014 Ryder Cup offers a selection of leisure facilities and restaurants which includes the award winning Andrew Fairlie’s as well as three championship golf courses. There are also the excellent Auchterarder, Dunning or Crieff courses all within an easy drive for all golfing enthusiasts.
If you are a family moving to the area there are several Nurseries nearby which feed to the local Primary schools at Auchterarder, Aberuthven or Dunning, which then feed into Auchterarder High school in the centre of the town.
The town itself is a very vibrant busy little place with more than enough to keep any family occupied. There is a local cottage hospital, Chemists and doctors surgery within the village all within walking distance. There is lots of local clubs involving football and rugby through to gymnastics and tennis for all the family.
